José Cuerda · Founder, NGCSCISA · PMP

José Cuerda started Next Generation Consulting Solutions (NGCS) to help organizations protect what matters most and give their people more time to move the business forward. He brings nearly a decade of experience across information technology, cybersecurity, compliance, and business transformation, supported by a bachelor’s degree in computer science and certifications as a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA®) and Project Management Professional (PMP®).

His experience includes developing third-party risk management frameworks and leading risk assurance work for Fortune 500 organizations at PwC and establishing an end-to-end quality assurance function during a $2 billion M&A at Liberty of Puerto Rico. Across financial services, telecommunications, utilities, and public-sector engagements, José has helped connect technology, controls, and day-to-day operations.

Practical, patient, and collaborative, José starts by listening. He brings people together, makes room for different perspectives, and is always ready to pick up a whiteboard marker to work through a challenge. His approach emphasizes transparency, thoughtful care, and continuously bringing current knowledge and better practices to clients.

Through NGCS, José helps organizations move beyond recurring compliance firefighting toward more reliable operations, better employee and customer experiences, and sustainable growth. His motivation is rooted in community: helping businesses work better strengthens their ability to serve the people who depend on them.
